Discover Stowes Parks

Several parks are located within walking distance of historic Stowe Village, including Memorial Park and Lintilhac Park. Beyond the village, you’ll find even more green spaces, recreational areas, and scenic parks scattered throughout town and along Mountain Road. Many of these are easily accessible via the Stowe Recreation Path, a 5.3-mile paved trail that connects visitors to nature by foot or bike. Prefer to drive? Each park also offers small parking areas for convenient access.

Chase Park

Located across from the Stony Brook Condominiums on Luce Hill Road, just off the intersection of Route 108, Chase Park is one of several access points along the Stowe Recreation Path. The park, which sits right along the river, offers picnic tables and a bike maintenance station. Spear Barn, one of many iconic red barns in the area, is also located on Luce Hill Road just beyond the entrance to Chase Park.

Quiet Path

The Quiet Path is a low-impact extension of the Stowe Recreation Path for walkers and joggers only. The natural surface path intersects portions of the Mayo Farm property and meanders along the West Branch of the Little River. Interpretive signs and beautiful panoramic views make for a relaxing 1.8 mile tour and a favorite spot for plein air painters. Parking areas on Mayo Farm Road, Weeks Hill Road and Cemetery Road offer easy access to the path.
