No trip to Stowe is complete without a ride on the iconic red gondola cabins, which have become synonymous with Stowe Mountain Resort. This year-round attraction invites you to experience Stowe in every season—whether you’re hiking the summer trails, soaking in the vibrant fall foliage, or taking in the winter snow-capped panoramas.

The Cliff House Restaurant offers a unique mountain-top dining experience with delicious fare and even juicier views. Reservations are highly recommended and your Gondola ticket is not included with your reservation. If you're just looking for a tasty treat or grab-and-go snack, The Waffle is the best option to curb any sky-high craving.

For the summer and fall seasons, typically mid-June to mid-October, the Gondola operates daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weather permitting (with the last ticket sold at 4:15 p.m.). The Gondola closes for a scheduled maintenance period briefly in the spring after Stowe Mountain Resort ceases winter mountain operations and in the fall just before the resort resumes operations for the next winter season, so be sure to plan accordingly. Real-time operation updates can be found on stowe.com/alerts. Please note that same-day tickets are only available for purchase on-site.
