Winter Mountain Road Shuttle
Schedule, Route and Bus Information
Stowe offers a free winter shuttle bus service through Green Mountain Transit (GMT) that provides access to world-class skiing and snowboarding at Stowe Mountain Resort, lodging and attractions at Spruce Peak, as well as dining, shopping and other activities and attractions throughout town. The complimentary Mountain Road Shuttle offers convenient transportation in Stowe, especially during inclement weather and peak periods, and is especially useful for those driving to town without winter tires, which are strongly encouraged.
From November 29, 2024 through April 6, 2025, the free Mountain Road Shuttle loops throughout town and up Mountain Road (Route 108) to Stowe Mountain Resort and Spruce Peak every 30 minutes off-peak and every 20 minutes during peak hours.
All GMT buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts/ramps and two or more spaces to accommodate wheelchairs up to the weight capacity of the lift/ramp. Plan your trek: view the schedule & map and track bus status in real-time. The bus stops near the Stowe Town Hall offer access to other GMT routes.

Parking Along the Route
There is parking available at Stowe Elementary School, Stowe Recreation Path parking lot, Depot Road, and the Toll House Conference Center, and other public parking areas. If you are staying at a hotel along the shuttle line, simply hop on the shuttle bus for service to Stowe Mountain Resort, Spruce Peak, restaurants, shops, and other attractions along the Mountain Road and Route 100.
