The Vermont Pumpkin Chuckin’ Festival was awarded USA Today’s best fall festival in the nation. The festival celebrates the sport of “chuckin” pumpkins for distance using a do-it-yourself constructed trebuchet, which is a gravity powered catapult. The event is a great opportunity for individuals, teams, and people of all ages to build something with their hands and engage in some family friendly competition. The current record is 861 feet.
More than 40 vendors will be selling pottery, jewelry, maple products, honey, artwork, woodworking, knitted items, photography, and much more.
This event raises critical funding for the Clarina Howard Nichols Center, an organization working to end domestic and sexual violence.
Admission: $10 for ages 6 and over, free for 5 and under. Please feel free to bring umbrellas, chairs or blankets. But, please no dogs or outside food or beverages.
