Vermont Days Weekend - FREE Park Entry

KICK OFF SUMMER WITH VERMONT DAYS

Spend the day on the lake, explore historic sites, or cast a line on Vermont Days, June 14-15, 2025. This annual weekend event celebrates the arrival of summer with free admission to Vermont's 55 State Parks and State-owned historic sites, open to both Vermonters and non-residents.

Additionally, Free Fishing Day is on Saturday, June 14, and gives residents and non-residents permission to fish in Vermont for the day without a license.

Waterbury Center State Park, located just minutes from Stowe and features 17 picnic sites, 27 remote paddle-to campsites (reservable for a fee online), a swimming beach, a nature trail, accessible fishing platforms, restrooms, and a boat ramp, making it a popular spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Umiak Outdoor Outfitters provides rentals of canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards at the water's edge, enhancing the park's appeal for water-based recreation. Rentals are first-come, first-served and range from $29-$39 per boat for 2 hours.
