What does it mean to truly see a place? For award-winning photographer JuanCarlos Gonzalez, Vermont is more than a backdrop, it is a source of inspiration, connection, and belonging.
In conjunction with his solo exhibition Vermont Light, JuanCarlos invites you to join him for an engaging and informal Artist Talk at Bryan Fine Art Gallery in Stowe. He’ll share the stories, ideas, and photographic process behind his work, including how Vermont’s distinctive light, weather, seasons, and landscapes have shaped the way he photographs the state.
Going beyond the finished photographs, JuanCarlos will offer a behind-the-scenes look at several works in Vermont Light and discuss his documentary projects and his enduring interest in people, place, and the feeling of belonging.
Designed to be conversational rather than technical, the presentation is accessible to photographers, art enthusiasts, Vermont lovers, and anyone curious about how an artist sees the world around him.
A Q&A with JuanCarlos will follow the presentation, offering an opportunity to engage directly with the artist and learn more about his work, which has taken him throughout Vermont and around the world.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear JuanCarlos Gonzalez share the stories and inspiration behind Vermont Light.
The Artist Talk is FREE and open to everyone. Seating is limited, so advance registration is strongly encouraged.
