Set in France and spanning five decades, it tells the true story of Esther Perez, a fierce, devoted Moroccan-Jewish immigrant mother. When her newborn son, Roland, is diagnosed with a clubfoot and given a bleak prognosis in 1963, she relentlessly fights the medical system, refusing to let her son’s physical disability limit his future.
