A Letter to David is Nancy Spielberg’s choice for a representative film that can speak to a wide audience about October 7th. It is cinematic letter to David Cunio, who with his twin brother Eitan, starred in Tom Shoval’s film Youth (2013). In that movie David and Eitan play kidnappers. Ten years later, life imitated art. David and his younger brother Ariel were abducted by Hamas from Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7th 2023. David and Ariel were held hostage in Gaza for over 2 years. They survived and after the film’s initial release, they were part of a hostage release on October 13, 2025. Subsequently the film’s ending was rewritten. REGISTER AND VIEW THE TRAILER HERE
