Rhapsody & Rhythm is the official multimedia concert event celebrating the ingenious music and legacy of George Gershwin. Performed throughout North America to critical acclaim, it is the definitive Gershwin experience performed by incredible musicians with an unparalleled understanding of why George Gershwin will forever be one of the most beloved and respected composers in history. This truly unique and entertaining Gershwin experience includes unparalleled performances of the most popular songs such as “I Got Rhythm,” “‘S Wonderful,” “They Can’t Take That Away From Me,” as well as George Gershwin’s masterpiece “Rhapsody in Blue.”
Music in the Meadow has been a long standing tradition in Stowe and attracts many residents and visitors. Produced by Stowe Performing Arts, the first concerts were held in Whisker’s Field on Mountain Road in 1976 and, at the suggestion of Johannes von Trapp, the concerts were moved to the meadow at von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort in the early 1980s, where they’ve continued every summer since.
