About the Author:
Stephen Russell Payne is an award-winning New England author of seven books, including his novels, Cliff Walking, Life on a Cliff, and You Were Always There. He brings an impressive breadth of life experience to his writing, drawing on careers as a former deputy sheriff and practicing general surgeon. Payne received his Master's in English from Tufts University before attending medical school at the University of Vermont. X.J. Kennedy said: "Payne is a master storyteller, among New England's finest writers of regional fiction."
