Commodities Natural Market

Commodities Natural Market is your one-stop grocery shopping destination featuring organic produce, local products, artisanal cheeses, fresh bread, prime meats, health and wellness department, bulk foods, household items, craft beer and wine and more. There’s a wide selection of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free items, too.

Commodities Natural Market’s first store opened in 1993 in New York's East Village (it changed ownership shortly after the Stowe location opened).

Within their  first year, Commodities was voted "Best Market" in the Stowe Reporter, nominated for best indendently-owned grocer by "7 Days." In November 2024, the Stowe store moved to a bigger brand new location just down the road at 1650 Mountain Road.

The store is open 7 days a week.

Feel free to call or write before your trip if you need anything or are curious if we have some of your favorite products from home. We love that at any moment our store is filled with local customers catching up on daily gossip while doing their shopping and visitors filling baskets & bellies or picking up items to bring home. When it's not snowing you'll also find local farmers delivering produce, local bakers delivering fresh bread and sharing their kindness & wisdom.
