Winter Concert Series – Bow Thayer

Bow Thayer will be releasing a new album written over the course of the Covid pandemic and recorded at his Central Vermont studio, “The Woodshed”. Thayer’s playing makes up the lion’s share of tracks, but the recording also features long-time drummer Jeff Berlin and Boston bass staple Jeremy Dryden, both of whom will be joining Thayer for the Spruce Peak show. Other guests providing tracks remotely from the left coast include Chris McGandy (Perfect Trainwreck) on pedal steel and Val McCallum (Jackson Browne, Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Raitt) on guitar. The show will cover most of the new album as well as some old favorites. It is hard to say what will really conspire on the night of February 20 but expect Thayer, Dryden and Berlin to rattle the walls of this beautiful and spacious room. As always, Thayer will incorporate multiple unique instruments into the set with fresh songs that depict a look of humanity observed from the “green bubble” of Vermont. Sometimes groovy, sometimes dissonant, often thought-provoking and ultimately positive.

In the event that VT guidance shifts to restrict in-person attendance, existing in-person tickets will be changed to livestream. In-person ticketholders will have the option of a credit, refund, or making a donation with the remainder. Thank you for your support of musicians and other performing artists to keep the arts alive!
