Stowe Cinema | Vermont Film + Music Festival

The Vermont Film + Music Festival is curated in partnership with Sidewalk Film Festival, Galway Film Fleadh, and NYX Horror Collective, the lineup includes documentaries, narrative features, shorts, and Stowe Story Labs’ alumni and mentor films. Artist discussion panels and Q&A sessions will encourage audiences to engage with working, established artists top in their field.

Program highlights include opening night screening ‘Our Father, The Devil’ (in-person interview/Q&A with writer/director Ellie Foumbi), 2023 Academy Award Winning short film ‘An Irish Goodbye’ (in-person interview/Q&A with filmmakers Ross White & Tom Berkeley), and ‘Nothing Compares’, a documentary exploration of Sinead O’Connor’s rise and evolution and her enduring cultural impact.

The Vermont Film + Music Festival’s mission is to bring films and live music representing diverse voices, new and rising artists, and critically acclaimed and established artists to rural and central Vermont, where audiences can revel in the art, meet the artists, and through the experience enrich their lives. The festival is produced and managed by Stowe Story Labs, a Vermont-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2013. They offer labs, writers retreats, long-form writing programs, ongoing mentoring, community building, and advanced development programs throughout the year for top emerging screenwriters, filmmakers, and creative producers from around the world.
