Syrah/Shiraz from 4 Countries
Back to Trapp Family Lodge
Join the Trapp Family Lodge in the Wine Cellar for a Syrah/Shiraz from 4 Countries wine tasting event on Wednesday, October 9, 2019.
Big and jammy and satisfying, Syrah is a great wine to pair with game or stews or spicy foods. The grape was originally the offspring of two obscure grapes from southeastern France, Dureza and Mondeuse Blanche. The child has outdone the parents.
The Australians call the grape Shiraz and it has become that country’s signature grape. You will taste 2 wines from Down Under as well as 1 each from France, Spain and the USA.
Price is $20. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations at (802) 253-5742. Doors open at 4 p.m. They suggest you arrive no later than 5 p.m. to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. The event ends at 6 p.m.
