The Current’s education team is piloting a new, semester-long program. Rooted in the traditions of Europe’s oldest Art Academies, Studio School at The Current is a chance for students to commit themselves fully to their artistic practice. The Current will teach students the fundamental skills of drawing from life, creating dynamic and original compositions, and working with color to create depth and tone in their images. 2nd to 4th grade students will create original drawings and paintings to be combined into a collaborative Artist’s Book for display. Additionally, Students will show their work in our Student Art Show this May.

Studio School classes are offered at a 20% discount compared to our regular youth programming. Additionally, students enrolled in the Studio School will receive a $25 coupon to use toward one additional class.
