The Current’s education team is piloting a new, semester-long program. Rooted in the traditions of Europe’s oldest Art Academies, Studio School at The Current is a chance for students to commit themselves fully to their artistic practice. The Current will teach students the fundamental skills of drawing from life, creating dynamic and original compositions, and working with color to create depth and tone in their images. K to 1st grade students will develop their drawing and painting skills through a mix of collaborative drawing games and long-term projects. Students will display their work in our Student Art Show this May.

The Studio School classes are offered at a 20% discount compared to the regular youth programming. Additionally, students enrolled in the Studio School will receive a $25 coupon to use toward one additional class.
