Dry Rose Tasting
Back to Trapp Family Lodge
Join Trapp Family Lodge in the Wine Cellar for Roses from France and Germany on Saturday, January 18.
There has been a good deal of interest in dry Roses lately. There are two basic ways to produce a rose, the first is to blend white wine with a little red, the second, more classic method is to use red grapes only and pull the skins off before they impart much color, flavor or tannins. Roses are wonderful with food and as a cool refresher.
Our wines this week are made from a variety of grapes. We will taste four still Roses and one sparkler, all dry.
Price is $20. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations at (802) 253-5742. Doors open at 4 p.m. They suggest you arrive no later than 5 p.m. to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. The tasting ends at 6 p.m.
