Domestic Red Blends Tasting
Back to Trapp Family Lodge
Join the Trapp Family Lodge in their Wine Cellar on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 for a Domestic Red Blends Wine Tasting.
Blended Red Wines are becoming more and more popular here in the United States. Many of the traditional wine producing regions of Europe have long blended several different grapes to produce a single wine. In fact, it’s Americans who started the practice of referring to wines by the name of the grape such as Cabernet Sauvignon, as opposed to the European practice of referring to them by the region where they are grown such as Bordeaux. We’ll be tasting blends from California, Washington, Oregon and, new for me, Idaho.
Ted Lange from 802 Distributors will be here to discuss the wines.
The price is $20. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations at (802) 253-5742. Doors open at 4 P.M. They suggest you arrive no later than 5 P.M. to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. The event will end at 6 P.M.
