Birds, Trails and Forestry: How Are They Connected?

You know and love Cady Hill Forest for its trails, but have you ever considered what other aspects of the forest are important?

On Saturday, May 20 from 8 to 10 a.m. there will be a guided walk through Cady Hill to learn about the birds and changing habitat within the forest. Audubon Vermont’s Steve Hagenbuch will be our fearless leader, co-hosted with the Vermont Woodlands Association. Stowe Trails Partnership will talk about what makes a healthy bird habitat, sustainable forestry practices, and how the two intersect with the recreational use of the land and forest.

Meet at the Substation parking lot off of Cady Hill Road at 8 a.m. for this two-hour stroll. This is a family-friendly event and questions are encouraged.
