Chowderpalooza & Spring Art on Park
Chowder lovers unite every spring for Chowderpalooza, Stowe’s annual chowder contest featuring chowder tastings from 15 local restaurants. During this year’s event on May 26, local chefs will compete for the People’s Choice Best Chowder in Stowe.
Kick-off Memorial Day Weekend with some sun, live jazz from the George Petit Trio, children’s activities, face painting and lots of chowder. A $5 bracelet gives you access to the Chowder Tasting, from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Sample them all and vote for your favorite. The winner of the Chowder Pot trophy will be announced just before 2:30 p.m.

Spring Art on Park is an artisan market that will also take place during Chowderpalooza. Spring Art on Park features local artists and artisans on Park Street and is free and open to the public. Browse through handmade jewelry, apparel, accessories and more. Taste specialty food and beverages and other handmade goods. Spring Art On Park takes place in advance of the Art on Park Summer Series, which begins on June 28 with live bluegrass music and food vendors. Both events are organized by Stowe Vibrancy.
